DAY 1 DARWIN – YELLOW WATERS (LD)

Departing Darwin, stopping off at Ubirr Rock to view the dreamtime depicted in its galleries of rock art and the spectacular scenery over the East Alligator River flood plains. Before making our way to our camp for the next two nights at Cooinda.(STL)

DAY 2 KAKADU NATIONAL PARK (BLD)

A day to explore the fascinating features of the park, we visit Nourlangie Rock Aboriginal Rock Art, the informative Bowali Visitor Centre at the Rangers headquarters. Then returning to Cooinda and the Warradjan Aboriginal Culture Centre and a sunset cruise on Yellow waters. (STL)

DAY 3 YELLOW WATERS – BARRAMUNDI GORGE - GUNLOOM FALLS (BLD)

Today we head for Barramundi Gorge for a short walk and swim before we head for Gunloom Falls and our overnight camp. (ST)

DAY 4 KAKADU – KATHERINE GORGE (BLD)

Leisurely morning swimming and exploring, before we head to Edith Falls on our way to Katherine gorge. (STL)

DAY 5 KATHRINE – TIMBER CREEK (BLD)

Here you can relax, bush walk or enjoy an unforgettable cruise (optional extra). Taking you through a series of superb gorges, which are flanked, by towering cliffs up to 60m high. Heading west along the Victory Highway passing the towering escarpments and rock formations that make this region unique. Camp tonight at Timber Creek. (STL)

DAY 6 TIMBER CREEK – KUNUNURRA (BLD)

Leaving the Northern Territory behind we cross the border into Western Australia. Camp Kununurra.n (STL)

DAY 7 KUNUNURRA (BD)

A day to explore the sites of Kununurra (optional extra). Farm tour, Ivanhoe Crossing and Hidden Valley. (STL)

DAY 8 KUNUNURRA – WYNDHAM – EL QUESTRO (BLD)

After an early start we make our way to Wyndham for a visit. Along the Gibb River Road, passing the spectacular Cockburn Ranges. Before making our way to El Questro Station on the Chamberlain River and our overnight camp for the next two nights. (STL)

DAY 9 EL QUESTRO (BLD)

We will spend today exploring some of the two million acres that forms the unique El Questro Station. El'Q' has a diverse variety of activities and scenic locations for your enjoyment. These activities include, a morning at Emma Gorge, optional guided tours available (own expense) of the wildlife park, scenic helicopter flight, barramundi fishing and horse riding. You may also take in the beauty of El Questro Gorge or relax in the warm mineral water of Zebidee Hot Spring. What ever you chose to do, be it a full day of activities or just relaxing under a shady tree you will feel you have truly seen one of the pearls or the Kimberley. (STL)

DAY 10 EL QUESTRO – MITCHELL PLATEAU (BLD)

Heading west along the Gibb River Road before turning north up the Kalumburu Road making our way to the Mitchell Plateau and our camp for the next two nights. (Bc+T)

DAY 11 MITCHELL PLATEAU (BLD)

Today we explore and view the Mitchell Falls, optional helicopter flight (own expense) (Bc+T)

DAY 12 MITCHELL FALLS – MANNING GORGE (BLD)

Today we retrace our steps to the Gibb River Road making our way to Mt Barnett Station. We set up camp at Manning Gorge, which is an ideal location for swimming and nature walks. (Bc +T)

DAY 13 MANNING GORGE – BELLS GORGE (BLD)

As we push along the Gibb River Road we really learn the meaning of isolation. Sparsely scattered cattle stations being the only signs of civilization. We stop off at Adcock Gorge then on to Bells Gorge and our overnight camp. (ST)

DAY 14 BELLS GORGE – WINDJANA GORGE (BLD)

This morning we walk and explore the cascading waterfalls of Bells Gorge. Then on to Tunnel Creek, a fascinating 750m tunnel with permanent pools of water snaking its way through the Napier Ranger. A short walk through the water enables us to examine exotic lime stone formations at closer hand. We return to see the imposing Windjana Gorge, impressive and uniquely formed from ancient limestone reef. It is here that we camp for the night. (ST)

DAY15 WINDJANA GORGE – DERBY - BROOME (BL)

After exploring Windjana Gorge, today's journey takes use through one of Australia's last frontiers. Firstly to Derby where we visit the prison tree, a huge Boab Tree said to have been used as temporary lock-up for prisoners. Then onto the delightful old pearling port of Broome. Here we have a chance to relax and enjoy the splendid Cable Beach with its classic white sands and turquoise waters stretching as far as the eye can see. Tonight, you enjoy a free evening in Broome were you can find a large variety of cuisine to temp your palate. Accommodated 3 nights in Broome.

DAY 16 BROOME (BD) - DAY 17 (B)

Broome, `The Pearl of the West' was once a bustling pearl port. Today it is renowned as one of the most relaxing holiday spots in the north – west. With a day at your leisure there is ample time to explore the historic township of Broome, relax on the gorgeous white sandy beaches and savour the splendid sunsets over the Indian Ocean.

DAY 18 BROOME – FITZROY CROSSING – GEIKIE GORGE (BLD)

Leaving Broome we head east along the Great Northern Highway. Arriving at Fitzroy Crossing, we then take a fascinating cruise of Geikie Gorge, down the Fitzroy River where the gorge has been cut through an ancient fossilized reef. Camp at Fitzroy Crossing. (STL)

DAY 19 FITZROY CROSSING – BUNGLE BUNGLES (BD)

After breaking camp we travel along the Great Northern highway stopping of at Halls Creek for fuel before making our way to the Bungle Bungles. The Bungle Bungles (Purnululu) is a 3.000-sq km National Park that is believed to have been formed during the Devonian Age 350 million years ago. We spend time here exploring one of Australia's greatest natural wonders visiting such areas as Piccaninny Creek, Cathedral Gorge, Echidna Chasm, Frogs Hollow and the Mini Palms. The regions vegetation contrasts from the unique Bungle Bungle Fan Palm to the tough eucalyptus and spinifex in the wide-open plains. This is a unique opportunity to experience one of Australia's most unspoilt and beautiful regions. (Bc+T)

DAY 20 BUNGLE BUNGLES (BLD)

Today you can take a helicopter flight (own expense) for a bird's eye view of the amazing area. Then we explore the unusual BeeHive Domes at Piccaninny Gorge, Cathedral Gorge and witness the setting sun lighting the red escarpment of the Bungle Bungles. (Bc+T)

DAY 21 BUNGLE BUNGLES (BLD)

This morning we continue exploring this magnificent landscape visiting Echidna Chasm, Frogs Hollow and Mini Palms. (Bc+T)

DAY 22 BUNGLE BUNGLES – LAKE ARGYLE (BLD)

Making our way back to Kununurra and on to Lake Argyle, were you can view the old Durack Homestead or take an optional Cruise (own expense) on the lake. (STL)

DAY 23 LAKE ARGYLE – VICTORIA RIVER (BLD)

After a leisurely morning we travel east to the Victoria River and our overnight camp. (STL)

DAY 24 VICTORIA RIVER – LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK (BLD)

Making our way back to Katherine we head north into Litchfield and it wonderful waterfalls. (ST)

DAY 25 LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK – DARWIN (BL)

After exploring the park, we make our way back to Darwin were you will be dropped off at your accommodation. We bid a fond farewell to our new friends and the end of a great adventure in the Kimberly Wilderness.
