M.V. PACIFIC ENDEAVOUR
The M.V. Pacific Endeavour offers you to experience to travel on a working cargo ship from Cairns to the Torres Straits York Island, a hop, a skip and a jump from Papua New Guinea. Cruising on the Pacific Endeavour you will be part of an invaluable mothershipping service to the Northern East Coast & Torres Strait fishing industries also servicing an isolated community & islands. The fleet of vessels within the industry stay at sea for many months at a time whilst the Pacific Endeavour travels up and down the coast through the Torres Straits to deliver much needed supplies, such as food, water, fuel and crew to fishing vessels, at the same time loading their catch into freezer containers to return to Cairns. Being a small ship it is able to travel inside the Great Barrier Reef enabling you to gain an unforgettable view of our untouched majestically picturesque coastline all the while anchoring at pristine coral reefs, sand cays and islands. Many stops are unscheduled so you never know whether it's a prawn, crayfish, barramundi, trout, mud crab or shark boat around the next reef or headland. With a friendly experienced crew, great food and many colourful characters cruising this remote part of Australia is an experience many dream of but very few get to encounter. The bunk style accommodation is on twin share basis with shared facilities.

Enjoy the creature comforts of accommodation on our tours, while travelling in the remote areas. The accommodation range varies from hotel, motel style to basic twin share rooms or permanent tent sites. On the FULLY ACCOMMODATED TOURS, you will enjoy all restaurant meals.

ACCOMMODATED SAFARIS

On the ACCOMMODATED SAFARIS, enjoy the comfort of accommodation each night, with the opportunity to experience our own camp dinners each night. Careful planning and attention to detail means freshly sourced meals are prepared each day. You'll be amazed at the standard and variety that is produced. Power at remote station accommodation is generally not available between 10PM and 7AM.

CAMPING SAFARIS

Camping off the beaten track, surrounded on all sides by the great outdoors, you have the rare opportunity to fully appreciate the many facets of Mother Nature at work. Our modern head-room high dime tents are specially designed for the outback and they have the best view you will find anywhere. They all feature sand-fly proof mosquito netting, silver coated fly-sheets for maximum heat deflection and built in heavy duty floors. Careful planning and attention to detail means freshly sourced meals are prepared each day. You'll be amazed at the standard and variety that is produced.

EASY CAMPING IN OUR PERMANENT CAMPS

 On the Easy Camping Safaris, you can have your tent set up for you on arrival at each daily destination. This of course will allow you more time to unwind and enjoy the evening scenery and activities. The “EASY CAMPING” tours with pre-erected tents include your camp stretcher, mattress, sleeping bag, sheet, pillow and towel.
